About

Shanielle Andrews is a 24-year-old writer and director born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas.

Growing up, she recalls making short films on the camcorder with her dad, and in those moments, she realized she enjoyed putting stories on the screen. Shanielle is also a hard-working Assistant Camera that does not mind hearing "one more time for focus" because she desires to produce her best work.

She believes that her directing is not just coming up with pretty shots but telling captivating stories that leave a lasting impression on the audience. Her work revolves around dramas that show real-life experiences, whether that be in relationships, psychological issues, or the dilemmas of everyday life. She envisions herself in the ranks with film directors such as John Singleton one day.

When embarking on her college journey, she took the opportunity to major in Cinema/Television/and Digital Media to ensure she mastered her craft. While in college, she has accomplished various things, including working as an assistant camera, writing scripts, and directing two films that have both been showcased in the ORU Film Gala. In this competition, the best student films are put on display. Shanielle's primary focus is to direct feature films that bring a new perspective to the film industry.
